About Us
House of Papua was founded in 2020 by Samuel van Voorn with a clear mission: to empower and showcase the creative talents of young designers from West Papua to the world.
What started as a passion for local fashion designs evolved into a platform that helps, motivates, and supports young Papua creators.
Our first collaboration was with Napirem Clothing, a clothing line from West Papua known for its bold and stylish designs. Together, we built a bridge between Papua and Europe, introducing Papua fashion to a global audience.
Today, House of Papua is more than just a clothing brand – it’s a movement.
Each month, we allocate a budget for young Papua designers who wish to bring their ideas to life. With our support, they can develop, produce, and share their creations within our growing network.
We produce our clothing for the Papua and Indonesian market in Jogjakarta, and for the European market locally in Europe.
Our long-term goal is to bring full production to Papua, creating job opportunities in design, manufacturing, logistics, and retail.
After the success of House of Papua, we connected with many young creatives across Indonesia – from Aceh to Maluku – who shared our vision and wanted to be part of it.
This led to our new project and brand: NUSSATU, meaning “Nusantara Bersatu” (Nusantara United).
Through NUSSATU, we aim to unite and empower the next generation of creative youth across the Nusantara archipelago.
At House of Papua, we believe that clothing is more than fashion – it’s expression, identity, and pride.
Together, we’re building a future where Papua and the entire Nusantara archipelago stand proud and visible on the global stage.
House of Papua – from the islands, to the world.
